adslKableADSL is a type of Digital Subscriber Line technology, a data communications technology that enables faster data transmission over Copper telephone lines than a conventional voiceband modem.

It does this by utilizing frequencies that are not used by a voice telephone call. A splitter, or DSL filter, allows a single telephone connection to be used for both ADSL service and voice calls at the same time. ADSL can generally only be distributed over short distances from the telephone exchange(the last mile), typically less than 4 kilometres (2 miles). At the telephone exchange the line generally terminates at a digital subscriber line access multiplexer (DSLAM) where another frequency splitter separates the voice band signal for the conventional phone network. Data carried by the ADSL are typically routed over the telephone company's data network and eventually reach a conventional Internet network.

wifiWiFi is a popular technology that allows an electronic device to exchange data wirelessly (using radio waves) over a computer network, including high-speed internet connections.

A device that can use Wi-Fi (such as a personal computer, video-game console, smartphone, tablet, or digital audio player) can connect to a network resource such as the Internet via a wireless network access point. Such an access point (or hotspot) has a range of about 20 meters (65 feet) indoors and a greater range outdoors. Hotspot coverage can comprise an area as small as a single room with walls that block radio waves or as large as many square miles — this is achieved by using multiple overlapping access points.Wi-Fi allows cheaper deployment of local area networks (LANs).

MetroEthernetA metropolitan-area Ethernet or metro Ethernet network is a metropolitan area network (MAN) that is based on Ethernet standards.

It is commonly used to connect subscribers to a larger service network or the Internet. Businesses can also use metropolitan-area Ethernet to connect their own offices to each other. An Ethernet interface is much less expensive than a SONET/SDH or PDH interface of the same bandwidth. Ethernet also supports high bandwidths with fine granularity, which is not available with traditional SDH connections. Another distinct advantage of an Ethernet-based access network is that it can be easily connected to the customer network. It is prevalently used in corporate and, more recently, residential networks.

leasedlineA leased line is a service contract between a provider and a customer, whereby the provider agrees to deliver a symmetric telecommunications line connecting two or more locations in exchange for a monthly rent (hence the term lease).

It is sometimes known as a "Private Circuit" or "Data Line".Unlike traditional PSTN lines it does not have telephone number, each side of the line being permanently connected to the other. Leased lines can be used for telephone, data or internet services. The primary factors affecting the monthly fee are distance between end points and the speed of the circuit. Because the connection does not carry anybody else's communications, the carrier can assure a given level of quality. Leased lines, as opposed to DSL, are being used by companies and individuals for Internet access because they afford faster data transfer rates and are cost-effective for heavy users of the Internet. Leased lines are used to build up private networks, private telephone networks (by interconnecting PBX's) or access the internet or a partner network (extranet).

VoIP and other web based solutions

phoneAn IP phone uses Voice over IP technologies allowing telephone calls to be made over an IP network such as the internet instead of the ordinary PSTN system.Calls can traverse the Internet, or a private IP Network such as that of a company. The phones use control protocols such as SIP (Session Initiation Protocol), SCCP (Skinny Client Control Protocol) or one of various proprietary protocols such as that used by Skype. IP phones can be simple software-based Soft phones or purpose-built hardware devices that appear much like an ordinary telephone or a cordless phone. There also exists the possibility to reuse ordinary phones as IP phones, with analog telephony adapters (ATA).

email HostingAn email hosting service is an Internet hosting service that runs email servers. Email hosting services usually offer premium email at a cost as opposed to advertisement-supported free email or free webmail. Email hosting services thus differ from typical end-user email providers such as webmail sites. They cater mostly to demanding email users and Small and Mid Size (SME) businesses, while larger enterprises usually run their own email hosting service on their own equipment using software such as Microsoft Exchange. Email hosting providers allow for premium email services along with custom configurations and large number of accounts. In addition, hosting providers manage user's own domain name, including any email authentication scheme that the domain owner wishes to enforce in order to convey the meaning that using a specific domain name identifies and qualifies email senders. Email offered by most webhosting companies is usually more basic standardized POP3 based email and webmail based on open source webmail applications like Horde or SquirrelMail.

What does "Website as Service" (WAS) mean?

Website as service, short "WAS" is originated from the idea to create modern and interactive websites for our customers and keeping them UP TO DATE. The WAS - model is based on the principle that the website technique and the content will be managed by us as an external service provider and used by our customers as a service.

The customer provides content which is entered by us or after training independently by the customer or its employees can be maintained. In this case, help is always available and the incorporated texts and media are reviewed for technical problems. A member of our service team is just a phone call or a Skype message away.

For the use and operation of the website, the customer pays a usage-based fee. By the WAS - model you are partially spared of customer development and operation costs. As a service provider we take over the complete administration and other services such as maintenance and updates. For this purpose, the web infrastructures, including all administrative tasks are outsourced, and you can concentrate on your core business.
